Washington Hospitality Start-Up Raises $8 Million in Largest Funding Round So Far
Social Tables, a Washington based Software-as-a-Service app has announced it has raised over $8 million in its most recent fundraising round, meaning that the company has raised $9.1 million so far.
Bessemer Venture Partners led the round, alongside Thayer Ventures, Militello Capital, 500 Startups, Middleland Capital, and Fortify Ventures. Social Tables has been developing alongside 2500 customers. CEO Dan Berger told BizJournals: “The beautiful thing about the customers that we have is they are that early adopter stage of the bell curve. And they tell us what to build, and we’ve been building it. Eighty percent of what we build is all from them.”
Social Tables is a cloud platform that began as a tool to build seating plans. This quickly evolved to incorporate 2D and 3D room diagrams, check-in software, managing sales, and planning catering and table services. The tools are available on desktop, tablet, and mobile apps.
Social Tables has a varied customer base, including hotel chains, events companies, and academic teams.
The firm currently employ 45 people, with plans to add another 15 – including a CFO and HR – by the end of the year.
