AVE Services provided equipment for a private cinema screening for National Geographic on the 10th October at Barnett Hill Hotel, near Guildford, Surrey. The hotel is set back from the main roads and is great if you need any peace and quiet, or if you need a cinema screening outside!

The private screening was for a film that will be released in December 2018 to the public in cinemas. But for that evening, the showing was only for the employees of the company, and us of course! The hotel provided american snacks, fire pits and blankets to keep everyone warm.

AVE provided a very large projector screen, 40ft x 20ft infact! This was because the Nat Geo felt the outside cinema experience would compliment the films content well and give the viewers an unique experience. Along with that the surround sound made sure that none of the outside noises broke the viewers attention away from the film. The 25,000 lumen projector helped bring the film to life, displaying the amazing images the film had to offer.

You can keep an eye out for the film coming out, on the National Geographic website here!

“Watch Alex Honnold’s journey toward his rope-free climb of the world’s most famous rock wall—Yosemite National Park’s El Capitan—in Free Solo, a stunning, intimate, unfliching film by E. Chai Vasarhelyi and Jimmy Chin. ”

National Geographic Films have appeared in IMAX cinemas and Museum cinemas all over the world for 20 years. They have had more than twenty-five films and over $1 billion in box office and the National Geographic Films have been some of the most recognised films in the informal education arena.
