On Saturday 23rd August 2025, the AVE Services team travelled to The Combes Golf Park in Devon to deliver complete AV hire, sound, and lighting support for their annual summer party.
The event brought together guests for an evening of entertainment, and our job was to provide the audio, lighting, and technical expertise that kept everything running perfectly.

Event Lighting & Effects Hire
Our lighting design transformed The Combes Golf Park into a vibrant party space. Using our Wolf1 DMX Controller, we delivered a dynamic, flexible setup that included:
- 6 x Evora 850 spots – sharp beams and dramatic effects
- 4 x Kudos 250z washes – rich colour coverage
- 8 x LEDJ Slimpar 9HEX10 Pro – mounted on truss as blinders and colour wash
- Truss and Kuzar truss lifts – ensuring safe, secure rigging
To enhance the atmosphere further, we ran our Stagehaze 1500 with dense fluid, perfect for outdoor use, making every light beam pop and creating that true party vibe.
On-Site Technical Support
Our technicians provided full event production support, staying on site to handle rigging, live operation, and derigging.
We even set up base in our trusty Luton van, which doubles as both transport and a mobile HQ for the team. Not glamorous, but always reliable — and part of what keeps AVE Services ready for any event.
Of course, a highlight for us was sampling the famous Combes pizza oven. Freshly cooked, wood-fired pizzas were the perfect fuel after a busy setup — and yes, they really are as good as they look on Instagram!
